Board Game Accessories

The following is a list of Board Game Accessories that can be purchased to enhance your board game playing experience.

Kaiyoot Game Shield

The Kaiyoot Game Shield is used when playing games that require keeping secrets during game play from other players.  It replaces the typical flimsy cardboard that these types of games come with.  The inspiration for this came after playing a few games of Keyflower and in the middle of the game having my "house" tip over revealing my precious coloured meeples for all to see.  Argh!

Here is a short list of some games that require or can use hidden information (there are many more than this):

  • Acquire
  • Aladdin's Dragons
  • Archipelago
  • Diamonds
  • For Sale
  • Jerusalem
  • Keyflower
  • Key Harvest
  • Modern Art
  • No Thanks!
  • Power Grid
  • Samurai
  • Steam
  • Tigris and Euphrates
  • Treasure Island
  • Wrath of Dragons
  • Yellow & Yangtze

Features:

  • Dimensions:  5.5 inch (14 cm) wide,   10 inch (25 cm) long, 5.5 inch (14 cm) tall
  • The Kaiyoot Game Shield stores flat when not in use
  • The Kaiyoot Game Shield has 4 plastic snaps that enable it to hold its shape (3 sided shield with a slanted roof).  The roof is angled such that most people can view its insides without slouching when sitting at the table.
  • The inside colour is white so that it reflects the room light inside the shield to make the components underneath easier to see.
  • The Kaiyoot Game Shield has "wrap around" side edges, creating a hidden area within the shield that some one sitting directly beside you cannot see.
  • The Kaiyoot Game Shield comes in the 8 most common gaming colours so that each player can have their own favorite colour when playing.
  • The Kaiyoot Game Shield has enough weight that it does not tip over when accidentally bumped.
  • The Kaiyoot Game Shield is large enough to store a ton of components and llow the players hands to reach inside and manipulate it with ease.

The Kaiyoot Game Shield Kickstarter was successfully funded on July 5th!
