Terms of Use for STL Files (3D Printing)

Kaiyoot Designs – 3D Printing Files

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your purchase and use of STL files sold by Kaiyoot Designs ("we," "us," or "our").

By purchasing, downloading, or using any STL file, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not purchase or use the file.

1. License Grant

Upon successful purchase and payment, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the STL file solely for your personal, non-commercial use.

You may use the STL file to 3D print a small number of copies for your own personal use or as a single gift to one friend or family member.

Printed items may **not** be sold, resold, rented, donated in bulk, or used for any commercial purpose.

2. Permitted Modifications

You may make small, personal modifications to the design solely for the personal use or single gift described above.

You may not use any modified version as the basis for a new design or distribute it.

3. Sharing the File for Printing

You may temporarily send a copy of the STL file to a third party (such as a friend with a home 3D printer or a commercial 3D printing service) solely to have the item printed for your own personal use or as a single gift to one friend or family member.

Any third party who receives the file must:

Use it only to fulfill your specific print request.
Delete or destroy all copies of the file (and any modifications) immediately after printing.
Not keep, reuse, share, or use the file for any other purpose or for anyone else.

You remain fully responsible for ensuring the recipient complies with these rules. Any misuse by the recipient will be considered a breach by you.

4. Commercial Use or Larger Quantities

If you would like to print more copies than allowed above, sell printed items, or use the design commercially, please contact us at info@kaiyootdesigns.com to discuss a separate commercial license.

5. Restrictions

You agree not to:

Share, distribute, copy, upload, or transmit the STL file except as expressly allowed in Section 3.
Use the file or printed items for any commercial purpose except as approved in Section 4.
Resell, sublicense, rent, lease, or otherwise transfer the STL file or any rights to it.
Remove or alter any copyright notices, watermarks, or attribution included in the file.
Reverse engineer, decompile, or substantially reproduce the file beyond the allowed limited personal use.

6. Intellectual Property

Kaiyoot Designs retains full ownership and copyright of all STL files. Unauthorized use constitutes copyright infringement and may result in legal action.

7. Refunds and Access

STL files are non-refundable once downloaded. We reserve the right to revoke your license if you violate these Terms.

8. No Warranties

The STL files are provided "as is" without any warranties. Print results vary based on your printer, filament, settings, and calibration. We are not responsible for print failures or any resulting damage.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Canadian law, Kaiyoot Designs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the file.

10. Termination

Your license terminates automatically upon any breach of these Terms. You must immediately delete or destroy all copies of the file and stop all use.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts located in Calgary, Alberta.
