Edge of Darkness Tower Card Holder Attachment

This attachment is for the popular Edge of Darkness board/card game. In this game, the tower has to hold 3 sets of sleeved cards which begin to fall forward or even fall out of their slots when too many cards are added in a sleeve. This attachment fixes this by creating 3 card ledges that attach to the tower and do a better job at holding the sleeved cards in place.

This consists of 5 parts that easily snap together on the tower base. When in storage, the 5 pieces store within the tower base so they do not take up any extra room within the box.

Assembly Instructions

Assembly of the 5 pieces is fairly simple.

Read the instructions below:

Snap the middle piece into the middle slot on the tower base. It can slide either way about 1".
Snap the left and right pieces into place, sliding the middle piece away from the side you are working on to avoid it getting in the way.
Slide the arms into place on the left and right pieces, keeping the left and right pieces disconnected from the middle piece. When you do this, make sure the arm end is hooked on the back of the tower base as you slide it into position (it is a tight fit). Do not attach the arm and then attempt to snap the arm end over the tower base back edge (as mentioned in one of the reviews of this product—he was assembling it incorrectly). This will potentially damage the base by removing paint if you have painted it. Sliding it into place will ensure no damage happens to the tower.
Attach the top tower.
Slide the left and right pieces with arms together with the middle piece, which will align up with the middle tower.
You are now ready to play!

Disassemble the tower in the reverse order of the above instructions.

Purchasing this item will get you 1 set of all 5 pieces 3D printed in grey PETG filament. PETG plastic is fully paint-able so you can paint the attachment to match your tower. This purchase does not include the grey/painted tower in the images. You need to buy the Edge of Darkness game in order to use this card attachment. PETG is used over PLA due to the tight fitting of the shelf on the main tower. PETG can flex more than PLA resulting in a stronger more durable item.

I make these on demand which requires setting up the printer and monitoring its ~13 hour print run. Once printed, I will ship it to you within a bubble envelope.

Edge of Darkness is produced by AEG (Alderac Entertainment Group) and can be bought directly from the AEG website.

I appreciated that it was packaged well & works well! It is a 3D printed product for a Kickstarter Exclusive game and this attachment holds the cards in the tower better than the original design. Thanks for making and designing this attachment!

The item itself didn't fit onto the tower. The tabs they create didnt line up to the card slots in the tower. I had to manually alter my tower to get it to fit as intended. Additionally, one of the 2 support arms have already broken due to the thin tabs that hold those in place where the front pieces lock into the support arms. The customer service was prompt though which I appreciate. Kaiyoot Response: I can only guess that Nathan's tower had some sort of defect compared to all the other EoD Towers. No one else has had this issue.

Great job! Ordered on Friday and received it on Thursday! I could have cleaned it up a little better, I stained it and missed some little treads.

A little difficult to fit together, I had to work on the joint a little, but once you get it on the tower, it locks on well and supports the cards better than the way they flop around without it. I would have liked the retaining ledge to have been a little deeper and it is too thin to groove it out any more.
